Priscilla Presley passed away earlier this month, and her family has been very publicly grieving her since. They have released statements and held ceremonies to celebrate Lisa Marie’s life while thanking fans for their support.
However, now all the ceremonies are over, the question of Lisa Marie’s will has come into play. It has caused contention within the family as Priscilla does not believe that her daughter’s will should be as it is.
To YOU,
Iām truly overwhelmed with your words, your prayers, your love and your support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart in trying to help me get through this loss. Every parent who has lost a daughter or son knows what a dark painstaking journey it is. š

Priscilla Presley has been open with her fans regarding how much she struggles following her daughter’s death on January 12, 2023. Lisa Marie passed away after going into full cardiac arrest.
Talking about how she felt after she lost her daughter, she said she was devastated and was now trying to come to terms with it. Priscilla then thanked fans for their love and support during this time. She tweeted:
“It has been a very difficult time, but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference.”

Priscilla has helped her granddaughters through the first few weeks after losing their mother. Yet they are now embroiled in a battle over Lisa Marie’s will as Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley, has been named sole executor.
Priscilla Presley Contests the Will: What Happened?
While Lisa Marie originally had her mother and ex-manager Barry Siegel in her trust, a 2016 amendment of her will removed them. It resulted in her two eldest children becoming the trustees.
After Lisa Marie’s son passed away in July 2020, her eldest daughter, Riley Keough, became the sole trustee. Priscilla is contesting the will, questioning the authenticity of Lisa Marie’s signature on the documents.
Priscilla and Siegel are the current trustees of Lisa Marie’s estate and are doing everything in their power to remain as such. Priscilla says her name is misspelled in the documents, and the signature does not look like Lisa Marie’s signature.
The former wife of Elvis also said that she was never shown the amendments made to the documents, which is required for all trustees. She also said there were no witnesses or notaries present for the amendments.
Elvis’ property in Memphis, Tennesse, will remain in the family. Graceland is home to Elvis’ gravesite. His daughter now rests alongside him. The property belonged to Lisa Marie after her father died and has now been left to her three daughters.
The property was left to Lisa Marie in a trust at just nine years old. When she reached 25, the trust dissolved, and she came into full ownership of the property and formed The Elvis Presley Trust.
This trust allowed Lisa Marie and Priscilla, along with the National Bank of Commerce, to manage the property in tandem. Graceland is open to the public for tours and even overnight stays.
Riley Keough Secretly Gave Birth and Is Acting Again
While an outpouring of love came from all over the world for Lisa Marie in the days following her death, her daughters took longer to release statements or photos of their mother. On January 24, Riley shared a photo of herself and her mother, saying that she was grateful to have it.
Riley said it was a photo from the last time that she had seen her mother. Riley then called her mother “beautiful.” Although Riley has faced heartbreak and despair this month, she has exciting news.
She will be starring in a series called “Daisy Jones and The Six,” which will be released on Prime Video later this year. The series is based on a book, and reports say the book has an excellent following.
The series follows the journey of a band inspired by the famous band Fleetwood Mac. The producers hired some of the world’s most excellent musicians and composers to write original music for the production.
The storyline will follow the band as they rise to fame and then decide to break up at one of their sold-out shows in Chicago. The production will be a documentary-style series that will allow the characters to share their stories about how they experienced the rise and fall of their band.
Riley will be playing the titular role of Daisy. This will be Riley’s second time starring as the lead in a series, with her first being in “The Girlfriend Experience,” for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination.
The trailer for the show was released last week, just days after Riley’s mother passed away, and she said she drew inspiration from her mother for the role. She gushed:
“I was raised by someone who did their own thing and didn’t really care what other people thought. She was definitely inspirational to me.”
The trailer was released only four days after a source close to Riley announced that she and her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, had welcomed a baby girl together. There was speculation of the baby’s arrival after Riley’s speech to her mother at Lisa Marie’s memorial.
In the speech, Riley thanked her mother for loving her unconditionally and then said that she hoped she could love her daughter the way her mother had loved her and her siblings while they grew up.
Riley and her husband had made no more comments about their baby girl, such as when she was born or what her name was. Riley simply went on to say that she and her sisters were a product of their mother and proud to be her daughter. She ended the speech by saying:
“Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity.”
There have been no posts from Riley or her husband regarding the birth of their daughter as yet. We wish Riley Keough and her family healing and love during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Lisa Marie Presley.
